Doctors in NJ

I was wondering if anyone lived outside of Philadelphia in NJ?   I was thinking about switching doctors and hoping somebody can advise me on a good place to go.

Hi mysty2001,

ok, I actually take 2 estrace a day.  I have to say that the only thing keeping me there right now is my doctor.  I guess I just have a few issues with the nurses, where there not calling me back and sometimes they give me the wrong information  I see Dr. Amui at cooper.  She does respond back fairly quickly when you have a question, but I don't like bothering her if I think the nurses are able to answer my question.

It's very frustrating because I just need them to get my medication right where I have good qquality embyros.

oh I am so sorry about the psychic
yeah I wouldn;t mind the nurses not answering if the docs or embryologists would call or talk to me!!

the numbers are the number of pills of estrace per day - they bumped me up one per day

What exactly is the 2, 3, 4 plan?  I see my doctor in 2 weeks, so I want to see what they have to say.  I just don't want to go through a 5th ivf and have the same thing happen.

I feel the same way as you do, Alot of times when I ask the Ivf nurses about something they tell me they can't answer that and that I should talk to a doctor, or they get upset that you or even asking.  It is very frustrating.

My sister wanted to do something different and fun to get my mind off of things, so she took me to a psychic.  Bad, idea... The psychic told me I was never going  to have children.  I was so upset even though I know that people can't always predict the future.  I still have it in the back of my mind every time I have a failed IVF.

for some reason I wasn;t surprised to hear cooper center was yours
well I am going to try again with them if allgoes well
they have upped my estrogen
now I am on the 2, 3, 4 plan (instead on 1,2, 3 plan)  so we will see if it goes smoothly
I want it so badly and I get frustrated that no one there seems very knowledgable

I really hope you get this IVF straightened out and have success!  I also hope you find a good doctor - it's really not just the doc themself, but the office is almost more important.

As for my husband's mural, there is a beautiful path that they made along the canal in Waterloo - lots of flowers and a gazebo.  When you come off the path, you are looking directly at the mural straight ahead (can't miss it - it takes up the entire back of the town hall building).  Unfortunately, you're also standing in the Save-A-Lot parking lot, but it's still nice to see coming off the path.  Here is a link to a photo of it (and us) - scroll down to the one just below the photo of the black-eyed susan

This is my 4th ivf with them and I only got one embyro that was a 4 cell with fragmentation that I transfered on Friday.  I'm frustrated because they can't tell me why my egg quality is not so good. The only thing is, is that my FSH levels are high at times, but other months they are normal and this was a normal month. So, I was told I should have better quality embryos, but this ivf was worst then the rest. I also have the same problem where they don't call you back.  I guess I'm just frustrated.

I really hope everything goes well for you and that you are able to tranfer your FET soon.

i feel like they are disorganized and never return my calls
I missed my FET last week because they couldn;t communicate about the U/s - that three weeks of estrogen I took and didn;t need adding to my body
and then - the embryologist won;t even talk to me until I am on the "schedule"  so I don;t even know how many embies they will transfer

I am really bummed I made specific arrangements for the transfer now I have to hope and pray my body cooperates and we do a FET soon

what stage of the process are you in?

My DH family still lives in the finger Lakes area.   Where did your husband do the mural in Waterloo?  Maybe next time when we are up in that area we'll check it out.

I am currently going to Cooper in Marlton, also.  Can I ask why you are unhappy there?  For me I feel like I'm not getting the answers I need.

Really?  My husband is a muralist and did a mural in Waterloo last summer.  We live about an hour away in Locke, a tiny crossroads town about 15 miles north of Ithaca.

My mom and friend both just had surgeries performed by the same doctor in Philly at Hahnemann University Hospital.  I met her and she was AMAZING (I wish I still lived there!) - she is supposed to be world renowned and people apparently come from all over to see her.  However, she apparently specializes in oncology (with both my mom and friend there was suspicion of cancer in their endometrial growth - fortunately neither had it) - BUT the good news is she is the head of the gynecology dept there and it's supposed to be the best.  I'd never been on a hospital ward like that, and apparently it's all because of her.  They paid NO attention to visiting hours, and they had a room for visitors/patients with the coziest couches ever, a big screen tv and a nice computer with internet that anyone could use at any hour.  I know you don't need a hospital stay, but she does head the dept there so I assume the rest is just as good.  Her name is Stephanie King, and here is the link to info I found about her and the gynecologic oncology dept there.  I'm sure they could link you to the OBGYN dept and it might be a good place to start.  If you need an RE they may be able to direct you to someone as well.

I live in northeast Phily, which really isn't that far from Jersey.  Abington Reproductive Center is a great facility, and the all of the doctors and nurses are very thorough as well as experienced.  Many of them have written books and all specialize in infertility.
