I've already had my first cycle of clomid. I'm starting my second cycle in a few days. Obviously, I was not successful the first time. I was wondering about Pre-seed.. does that really work? Or will it just complicate things?
I would ask your dr about that, because i can remember someone on here posting that it interfers with ttc! Good luck and lots of sticky dust**********************************************
I think for most people, preseed works really well. My RE did not recommend it, though. He actually told me that a couple drops of mineral (baby) oil is better, if needed.
Pre-seed does not work. It's another gimic by the drug companies. I work for an Ob/GYN in California...you're better off staying on Clomid with Glucophage and timed Intrauterine
I've contacted my doctor and she directed me not to use pre-seed. She told me to try this 2nd cycle without it and if I dont get a BFP then she will try something more natural with me.
Well, I think what needs to be considered is, like many things, it works for some but not for others.
Natural CM is best, obviously. I think if you're going to use any kind of artificial lubricant, use the minimal amount necessary to get the deed done. :)
I noticed that I never got that egg white CM, It only went as far as thin lotion consistency, so after 8 months of trying and no success I figured that my CM was the problem so I used Preseed for two cycles, I got pregnant during the second cycle. I really think it was the preseed, as nothing else was done differntly. Unfortunately that pregnancy ended up ectopic
I think it worked for me, as I don't have EWCM - I got pregnant the first cycle trying it (on the 5th cycle TTC). I have bought some more (had a m/c at 8 wks) as I feel it really helped. Certainly it did not stop me getting pregnant so it can't be harmful.
My husband and I used pre-seed for two months - simply for the fact that we were ttc, but needed a lubricant. As you know, most lubricants will kill sperm, so we wanted something that wouldn't kill sperm, but still make us comfortable. We conceived our DS (born sept 2010) after 2 cycles of trying. Hoping to start trying again within the next month :-)
