according to ask.com you can have period and not ovulate but if your not on any birth control and you have a period you should ovulate 12-16 after good luck girly
Oh, okay. Thanks, I didn't think of it like that, makes sense. The reason why I asked is because I was having irregular periods until I started taking a hormone pill for 12 days out of October as directed by my doctor to help me to regulate my periods. I only took one hormone pill the next month and decided not to take them anymore because I wanted my body to regulate its self. To my surprise I started my period again only after 23 days. Which is a BIG deal because I was only having periods every 2-3 months and I started two months in a row, so I didn't know if I was ovulating. That's why I posted my question. no it does not. hence why women on birth control who are not ovulating at all still bleed....
