Does anyone know of anyone with endoriometriosis (sp?) and if they got pregnant?

Does anyone know of anyone with endoriometriosis (sp?) and if they got pregnant?

I went back to the dr today and he said that he thinks I might have it and that I might have to get some help in getting pregnant, so my question is, is there anyone out there with it or has it and they have gotten pregnant. I am scared to death and just need to know the facts. I go to the doctor on Wed for a Ultrasound to find out if thats the problem or not. Thanks Hugs :o)

I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through this!  I was there 6 months ago.. i had no symptoms except spotting before my period (absolutely NO pain) they found a large endometrioma on ultrasound on my left ovary(it was 7cm!!) whcih automatically means i have severe endo, i was devastated, we had already been ttc for 8 months and now we knew why we hadn't had any luck!
I went in for my lap praying for a good outcome, but instead my dr said i was one of the worst cases she had ever seen.. i basically lost my left ovary (the endometrioma had destroyed it) it doens't function anymore.. she couldn't even clean up the endo, since it was just everywhere.. so closed me up and wanted me to do lupron.. i refused and said i want to go full force with fertility treatments.. while i was recovering i wanted dh to get a semen analysis, "just to make sure" well more bad news it came back with super low morpholgy only 2% normal.. again devastated!   Then went into my ultrasound with my new RE and they found that my one remaining ovary was polycystic! even though again No symptoms! AGAIN devastated!   it was a rough month finding all of this out! also discovered I ALSO had LUFS (where the follies dont' rupture-even with meds!)
so we started on femara (low dose) and did IUI's even though my dh's dr said our only chance was IVF with ICSI..our third and last IUI (we were waiting on paperwork for IVF to go through so my dr didnt' want to waste a cycle). well SHOCKINGLY we got pregnant! couldnt' believe it!   I stayed pregnant for 9.5 weeks.. turns out that it was a blighted ovum, which has nothing to do with endo or pcos. it just happens...
I've done tons of research and LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS Of people get pregnant that have endo, and bad endo! but it may mean that you need a ltitle extra help, which is just fine.. so thankful that we live in a place where it is possible to get help to get pregnant! thank God for technology!!!    GOOD LUCK! let me know if you have any questions at all! It does and WILL happen! : )

I hate that you went through all of that, I don't know if I could have handled it. Just the thoughts of all of this going on has had me so upset and I don't drink ever but my hubby had me drink a glass of wine this evening to calm me down so far so good. I am glad that it does happen and it makes me feel better knowing that. I am sure I will be talking to you more after I get the full on fledge diagnosis but all the symptoms I have and it just makes it even clearer. Again thanks :o) Lots of Hugs!!

Girls
I just want you to know that what you have written has brought me to tears!!!  BNY you are obviously inspiration to all.

As for me ttc for  6 months for my husbands 1st (i have 3) and we honestly have some relationship probs but i try to overlook them (we have been married for 5 years so it's time!) but the fact is i want a child him  & i want to give him his child.  I just don't understand him sometimes--  why he seems so bitter sometimes.

Anyway i'm ovulating at the end of this week and have an appt with fertility specialist (1st appt for infertility) and i don't know what will happen but i am trying to do my part to make things right.

I just think sometimes God is there letting things happen the way they are supposed to  but we have to trust him.  Right now i'm listening to I saw god today by George Strait  and i am so emotional.

I guess all we can do is our best and hang in there...   Sorry for whining!!     BNY that was a great reply and a real success story and thank you for sharing.  I feel sure that things will all work out for all of us.  GOOD LUCK!

Ask your RE about the IF research, but according to my doctor, there were two research done.

One research showed that if you have endo and they remove it, it can help 5 - 10%.  Another research shows that endo has no relevance on IF.  She also mentioned that endo comes back after one year.  So, either you have it or you don't.

Btw, the only way they can tell if you have endo is via lap surgery, not u/s.  I asked since I do not want the surgery.

But it looks like you have two kids?  So, it looks like endo (if you have it) did not prevent you from have them.

Good luck.

I also have endometriosis (have had two laparascopies) and I was able to get pregnant with my son. We tried for 2 and a half years before we had him though, and now are trying for our second. It is possible, it just takes more time, and a lot of patience. Just try to stay positive and try to take care of YOU! Endo is stressful enough without adding IF into the mix, so just try to find other things to focus on. I wish you all the best! Let us know how everything goes- and BTW brooklyn_gal is right! You need to have a lap done to find out whether or not it is endo. An u/s won't show that. Take care, and keep in touch!

my sis just had a hysterectomy at 33 because of endo.  she went through hell for years doing all she could to try to calm it.  lost an ovary.  she decided to have a baby and with the help of clomid and yearly laps she had a baby girl.  3 years later went on to have a baby boy without any meds.   it is possible, i wish you all the luck!

Thanks ladies, I really needed that, I didn't sleep good last night at all. And yes I am blessed with two children, my first came at the age of 17 without ttc him and on bcp so he was a shocker and my second came 5 years later with 18 months of TTC had the appt scheduled for an infertility doctor and found out I was pregnant this time I have been having some medical issues and we decided in April that we wanted one more and thats it after the fact of we thought I was pregnant then and it just turned into a long irregular cycle with mid-cycle spotting (which I thought was implantation spotting). Come to find out with 6 visits to my OBGYN, I had a uterine infection which is now cleared, I have been having some pain before and during AF and still having the mid-cycle bleeding which he just can't figure out. So he has decided to tell me that he is doing a ultrasound which he had scheduled for wed and he told me he wasn't going to full out diagnose it but he thought it was endo and that since I have a family history with it that he thought that was it. He also told me I have a tilted uterus, no clue what that means but more research today. He also said that my best bet to have 1 more is through a fertility clinic and that I should have no problems there. I am just to the pt where I need to know something so I don't worry myself any more. But I will keep you posted what happens wed., oh and he thought a few years ago I had it, but I decided to let it go and not worry about it, since I just had my son. But who knows yet, just an early diagnosis.

Thanks again ladies you all have brought some things to my mind about what I should ask on Wed. Again Hugs and SSBD to all of you! :o)
