Does anyone know whether a hcg booster shot can cause af to be late.

This IUI cycle my doctor is having me do a hcg booster shot so I cannot test until 2 weeks after that which will be almost 3 weeks after my IUI. I was thinking that I would know before than if AF doesn't show on time. Then I started wondering if the hcg shot could also cause AF to be late.

.  My symptoms were much worse after the booster than they have ever been with the trigger (cramps, sore breasts, backache)....Best of luck to you!

I found out from the nurse at my doctor's office that it can delay af but it does not always delay it. I am bummed because I thought if af were late I would have my answer, but I guess I will just have to hang in there and wait until Sept. 19 to find out.

The only symptom I have is bloating and that started just hours after I got my trigger hcg shot so I know it is because of the shot.

I know this wait is going to drive me crazy too. Good luck. I hope you get your bfp!!!

I have the exact same question!  Had my IUI on 8/15 and booster on the 21st.  I am so confused.  IUI was on CD 9 and normally I start 2 weeks after.
Do you have symptoms that you think could be either PMS, PG or the HCG shot?  It's driving me crazy!
