Does cervix have to be open for sperm to make their journey?

..I have right side crampiness...still lots of EWCM..two days worth, spotting 4 days ago,..bd last night and night before. My question is how long does cervix open up for and does it open before ovulation and can sperm make it in there even if it's not open? It seems like they should be able to..they're pretty tiny, huh?

What I never understand is how you can really tell it's open? I know it opens a little every month when fertile, but I don't think I really can feel it. After d&c and them prying the poor sucker open it definitely feels different. But it opens so minimally I don't know if I'd even be able to tell.

Yeah, let those little suckers swim.  You might be wiping them away. I hope someone still has an answer for our question :-o

Good luck!!

I guess I better stop checking my cervix position right now..I could be disrupting the little party going on in there!!  :)

It's funny you asked that question.  I was wondering the same thing.  If your cervix is closed and you BD days before you O, how will they get in there????  They say it's a mucous plug keeping everything out so do you have to depend on them staying alive in the vagina for days until it opens?

Inquiring minds want to know!!
