I had 11 eggs to begin with, 7 of them were 2 cells on day 2, we decided to let them grow to blastocyst, by day 5 , three of them arrested and 4 of them compacted, dr's said they took the best two of the 4 and wanted to transfer on day 5 he was afraid to leave them out any longer, i decided to let the other two try to go blastocyst stage which they both arrested on day 6. I am wondering if i should've waited to see if the other two would go to blastocyst and if i just transferred two bad quality embryos
.. the embriolgist said that they were good quality they were just growing slower and could result in pregnancy, anyone have something similar to this?
I had a five-day transfer of two very early blasts. One was even too early to grade, and I have to admit, I was a little afraid that they were too "behind" in development...but I still got a BFP! I'm now 16 weeks pregnant!
In your case, I think you did the right thing by transferring on day 5 and not waiting to see how they developed by day 6. Although medicine has come a long way nowadays, your body is still the best place for those little embies to continue their development. And keep in mind also that they did transfer the two best embryos
