Hi all! When I had my m/c carriage in Jan. the doctor didn't really say anything as to why it happened. I know that there isn't always a concrete reason but does this sound like a blighted ovum? I started spotting
at 7wks and the doc did an u/s. When he looked at the monitor he kept asking if I remembered the date of my lmp correctly because I was only measuring at 4 wks. He could only see a round, empty sac. I'm not sure if I know the diff between blighted ovums and chromosomal problems or if there is even a difference. Thanks for your help. By the way, 8 months and counting of still ttc. I hope this happens soon.
Yes...a blighted ovum is a sac with nothing in it. And my understanding is that a blighted ovum can be cause by chromosonal abnormalities. I am sorry for you loss..hope you get another BFP soon!!
Hi everyone, I'm new here and would like to get some opinions. I did my ICSI last sept. Did my HCg levels and readings were very low - 15 and then 33.9. 4 weeks post ET, the embryo
failed, my levels started to drop to 24.3. I start getting cramps and bleeding on 17 Sept and passed out a tissue-like mass. 19 sept I tested my beta hcg and my reading was 6.6. I've decided to take a break from my treatment and restart early next year.I have a normal period on 1 Nov, but missed my period this month. Did another beta hcg on 15/12/06 and my level is 8.97. Start having cramps today, and lite brownish spotting
today. is it a blighted ovum? Or is it a real viable pregnancy? Or is it possible that my previous HCG 6.6 rise back to 8.97? I am very confused now. Had Anyone experience similar episodes? Please help.
