Down to 1 ovary, is freezing eggs safe

I've read that freezing your eggs requires hormone injections which can lead to hyper stimulated ovaries. I was pregnant and at 9weeks lost the baby and needed a d&c. This caused more cysts to form and my ovary to enlarge which caused torsion and I had to have my left ovary removed. I'm down to the one ovary and terrified if I get pregnant again the cysts could destroy my last ovary but if I freeze my eggs as backup the hormone therapy could also destroy my ovary. Anyone have any experience with this?

Hyper-stimulated ovaries are not an inevitable reaction to hormone stimulation.  Even if you had this begin, if you are properly monitored during the time you are on hormones, they will adjust your dose if there seems to be any risk.  And it does not destroy your ovary.  You just have pain and have to take something to reduce the stimulation.

BTW, if you intend to get pregnant with the same guy (i.e., your husband), it is more successful to freeze embryos than to freeze eggs.
