Drugs other than Clomid?

I am currently on my second month of Clomid, day 23.  I have been temping and OPKing and have not O'd as of yet.  Last month I O'd on day 34.  This means that this is the second month in a row that Clomid hasn't worked.  Has anybody else had these results and then their body straightened itself out?  My doctor wants to IUI but wants my body to have a regular cycle.  Are there any other drugs out there besides Clomid that help women O?

Yes, my doctor said that when I O'd last month, it was on my own, now with the Clomid.  That is still a big step for me though, as I don't think I"ve O'd in over a year.  I went off of the pill in 2005 when I got married and since then my body has been out of whack with extremely long cycles, etc.  I got back to see the doctor in a few weeks, so I'll let you know what he tells me.

Thanks to everyone for their responses.

So if you O on day 34 do they determine the O was not Clomid-induced?? - because I think I'm looking at a late O date too - on Clomid, first round , 50 mg. Today is CD 17.

if clomid doesn't work, femara is a very good alternative before starting injectibles.  it actually works in a different way than clomid so even if clomid was not successful, it does not mean that femara won't be.  clomid blocks estrogen receptors by acting like a pseudo-estrogen, it binds to the receptor and makes your body think estrogen is low.  femara on the other hand blocks an enzyme which actually produces  endogenous estrogen, so your actual estrogen level goes down.  if you read theunlucky20percent.blogspot.com you will find a girl with pcos who was unsuccessful with clomid but got pregnant on her first round of femara recently.  I also got pregnant (13weeks today) on my first cycle of femara but I never tried clomid.

My doc just gave me femara.. did some research on it an dit says it has much better results than clomid! I am new at this and asked about femara here on  the forum and couple people responded and said that it worked great either for them or someone they know! I will keep posted on how it works for me! Good luck to you SSBD~ =)

My dr has mentioned injectibles if clomid fails. I'm not sure which ones. Repronex was brought up.
