Due anytime Summer 2012

mhv
Hi ladies.  I know it's kind of early for me, being only 7wks 5days along, to start this, but I wanted to start sharing this journey with others due around the same time as me.

I know many of us (me included) are afraid to put ourselves out there this early, afraid that something might go wrong, but I have known so many of you for you long, that I just couldn't wait any longer to start sharing experiences with you.  I have never been this far along in a pregnancy, and am so sure I am going to have tons of questions.

I am expecting twins, and am still in shock! :)  We have a due date of Aug 9th, but It will probably be more like July 26th, due to it being twins
I feel pretty good most of the time,  but if I don't eat every 2-3 hrs, the babies let me know it!

Just wondering how everyone else is feeling, and wondering if anyone else has questions we can help each other with....

Hugs!!!

My problem is they want their bottle about 20min after they get up, and then they don't wanna eat.  They play for a while, then by the time I start to get around to feeding them their cereal w/ veggies, they are tired and ready for their 20min nap. (they want to nap 2 1/2 hrs after their first bottle). Them they want their 2nd bottle 3 hrs after their first one. The eve is easier though.  I just don't know when I am gonna fit that 3rd feeding in.... I struggle with 2x's...ugh :(

What I do with the solids is give them fruit in the morning then a bottle then a veggie around 4-5pm then a bottle. My boys still eat the same amount of formula to. I think that's ok since they should eat formula more since that has most of what they need. I'm gonna start doing 3x a day soon

I love the twins necklaces :). I leave them on them 24\7.  Of couse, I don't know if they are teething yet, but, they sure are chewing on everything in sight.  I guess I will know more when the first tooth pops through ;)

I am having a hard time setting up a solid food schedule.  Trying to feed them 2x a day seems hit or miss... I don't know how I am going to hit 3 x's a day.  And it doesn't seem to slow down their formula consumption either...any advice or ideas???  I feel like I am failings in this area miserably!!!!

It's possible that it could have, but it's hard to say. At least you have them now, so you can have happier babies now. With babies it's trial and error, and experience. Being a first time mom, it's hard to know everything that's out there.

Even with me being a second time mom, there's so much out there that wasn't available 7 years ago. Those amber necklaces were not available back then.

I am retracting my statement about the selsun blue for cradle cap.

It was fine with Preston the first time I used it on him. I tried it again a few days later, and he screamed bloody murder. I thought he might have just been cold after his bath. So I tried it one more time, and the same thing. Screaming!

My DF had tried it as well, and he said it tingles after using it. So I'm thinking it was irritating his scalp or something.

I have some head and shoulders, so I used it on him last night. And no screaming or anything.

So if anyone has a baby with cradle cap, use the head and shoulders. Not selsun blue
