Ectopic Pregnancy

Hi ,

Recently I was diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy.As it was very early , it was resolved by administering methotreaxate.

What are my chances of getting pregnanct again??Also , does an ectopic pregnancy always affect future chances of getting pregnant

I can't answer for myself however, my cousin had an ectopic and had to have the tube removed. She did think she would not be able to have any more children with only one tube. Is now expecting twins to be born any day now.

I had an ectopic pregnancy last April and took Methotrexate to resolve it - My Doctor then reccomended a laparoscopy to look at my tubes and find out if there was any damage.

In my case I ended up needing both my tubes removed as it turned out they both had very bad scarring.  I'm now 4 months pregnant after my first IVF attempt!

You can continue to try yourselves, but you may have a higher chance of having another ectopic.  With a laparoscopy, Your Doctor can see if everything looks fine, and often fix any problems that they see.
