I had my second IUI this past month-BFN. I was on clomid CD 3-7. I had the trigger shot on 3-11 at 9am. I had my IUI on 3-12 at 2pm. AF just showed up now. To my calculations, due to the trigger shot, I should have ovulated in the evening of 3-12 and should have gotten AF on 3-26, 3-27 at the latest. It is now 3-29. Does this mean the trigger shot did not trigger me to ovulate? I am hoping to talk to my RE tomorrow and I would appreciate any feedback or experience. Obiously I can't continue with treatments that are not working. Thanks so much girls.
for 3 days after, I tested yesterday morning and it was negative...I don't get it, I mean I thought between the ultrasounds and bloodwork, the clomid...why it didn't work..I don't know if the trigger shot even worked, it's very frustrating...I'm hoping my DR didn't drop the ball...everyone says trust the DR but it gets difficult sometimes...It does work for some, I'm wondering if we just have to be patient.
I am feeling the same way! The trigger shot should trigger you to ovulate and you should get AF 14 days after that....and you are right-how do they not know between the clomid and the ultrasounds? I am trying to be patient but I don't have the rest of my life to get pregnant! Ugh...good to know someone else is in my same situation though. :) Good luck to you...thanks for your note.
I have a luteul phase of 15-16 days, even after the trigger. That is how my body works. Whatever your normal LP is - that is usually (not always) when you get your period. Hope this helps a bit :)
usually the trigger shot works fine.. most people can use ovidrel.. i did have problems with it working though, and the only reason we found out was my RE did an ultrasound 24 hours after IUI (or 72 or so hours after the trigger) to confirm ovulation.. turns out ovidrel didnt' work for me.. so we switched to the strongest trigger - novarel.. which still my follies only rupture
