Embryo Results

Hi all!  Well me ER went well yesterday.  They retrieved 15 eggs.  I talked to the lab today.  9 eggs were mature and 8 of those nine fertilized.  We did ICSI.  Tomorrow I will find out how many cells each embryo is.  She said they should be at least 2 cells by tomorrow morning.  My 3dt is scheduled for Friday.  I hope our little embies grow and get ready to hang on!!  This is such a waiting game!  I'm sure the 2 ww will be rough!  I just need to enjoy each little milestone!

I'm so excited for you I hope you are on the baby train soon. Your IVF numbers sounded kinda the same as mine only I did a 5 day blasto transfer with 2 eight cell blastocytes. We also did icsi. However I only had 1 left to cryo so that *****. But at least I got pregnant on the first try with a singleton. I'm 17weeks now. Can't wait to hear the news in 10 days or less.

Two 8-cell embryos sounds great!!  And do not worry: embryos cannot fall out no matter what you do  :)

Thanks everyone!!!  We ended up with 2 eight cells and 5 six cells on day 3.  They transferred the 2 eight cells and froze the rest.  I rested all day yesterday and and just keeping to very light activity today.  I know this is dumb but I am always paranoid they will fall out!  This is impossible right?  Please reassure me that sneezing, going to the bathroom, laughing, etc is ok!!  

Thanks girls!!!  I don't know what I'd do without you all!!!

Thats awesome. Good Luck!!!  I had my retreival yesterday (16 eggs) and will be calling in later today to see whats ferlilized. Hoping for good results. They didn't really talk to us about ICSI. My husband has some sperm antibodies but lots of sperm, so I guess the old fashioned way will be ok for us. Keep us posted. And I hope you get your bfp!!!!!!

I agree, ICSI is the way to go. We had it done due to a borderline penetration assay level and always had great fertilization rates.

Yoday (day 2) the embryologist said we have 2 four cell embies and 5 two cell embies.  1 did not divide.  I hope they keep growing for tomorrow morning's transfer.  She said they have to be at 5 to cryo.

I am nervous but excited!!
Heather- we have severe MF (low count) so ICSI was our only option.  But- I would recommend it to all IVF patients.  The fert rates usually seem really good!  I've heard some clinics do it with most patients now...good luck to you!

Congrats so far on the progress you've made :-)  All looks promising from here.  Try to stay occupied and rest during the tww.  Before you know it, you;ll be reading getting the bfp from your RE office...

Ooooh, how exciting!!! I'll be starting my IVF soon too. Do you mind me asking why you decided on doing ICSI?
