My doctor is very concerned about my ovaires. He said I have the term "kissing Ovaries". Before the transfer and the day after I was very bloated. Now, I have relief. I am very concerned because he said I would continue to get worst if I became pregnant. Has anyone gone through this?
on one side and 15 on the other side, although they only retrieved 13 eggs. My ovaries were very big. I am now 13w preg. Before the retrieval and transfer, I was very bloated. During the 2ww, I felt good up until about 8d post transfer, which is when the bloating came back, along with some cramping. My clothes felt very tight, and my abdomen was tender to touch from about my belly button down. They think that I had mild OHSS, just make sure to drink plenty of fluids (my docs suggested gatorade or water, no sodas) and try to consume a low sodium diet. It will help with OHSS. Also they don't want you to do anything strenous, no heavy lifting or aerobic exercise (nothing that will bounce your ovaries up and down). I would say that this lasted for me about 4-5wks post transfer, with it gradually getting better over that time period as well. Good luck to you!! :)
HI, just to let you know my 3rd try of ivf got cancelled on April due to OHSS.. i think you're fine..the bloating is really normal, but if it gets worst & if its associated with pain then you might want to call your RE. like what the above poster said drink plenty of fluids especially gatorade or water. its good to know you said you got relief.
GOOD LUCK and try to relax...don't worry about getting OHSS, you already made it for transfer.
Oh BTW..eventhough it was 4 months ago that cancelled ivf I still have this bloatedness, cramping.. they said its normal, my ovaries haven't gotten back to normal yet.
