Embryo transfer

Hello. I had a donor embryo transfer 7 days ago. Embryo was 5 days old. HPT today was positive (very faint line). The nurse told me result was invalid because of HCG was given during transfer. Isn't HCG only given to the donor? Thanks for your input. I will go for blood test in 4 days.

I used a donor also and didn't receive the hcg shot (donor did).  Maybe the nurse got you mixed up w/someone else???  I agree w/prayin4baby, check back w/nurse.  I bet you're pg.  Good luck on the 30th!

I would think since it was a donor cycle that you wouldn't be given hcg shot.  The hcg shot is given to make you ovulate, in which there would be no need for you to ovulate since you used donor eggs.  I would call back and have the nurse check your chart to see what meds you on.  How many embryo's were transferred?  I got a positive test just 8dpt and I am pregnant with twins.  Good luck and blessings!!  Keep us posted.
