Okay, My DH and I bd on June 22-24 when I was at peak fertility according to my OM. Since I am preparing for the IVF procedure, I am suppose to start Estrace on Thursday 2/night. Now, can that affect me if I actually got prego on June 22nd? I am feeling good about this last time we did it naturally. Neither of us have been drinking or having caffeine. We have been on vitamins and all.... I am thinking positive thoughts. What if? Can the estrace affect my potential pregnancy??? It says right on the bottle do not take if pregnant. I am nervous. Any thoughts????
I wouldn't take it if it says not to take while pregnant..... but that is just me. I would wait and see if you are pregnant on your own and if not then start taking them.
That is what I thought but if I don't then if I am not pregnant then I just blew another month before I can get going with the IVF process. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place! I am going to pick up my caledar "of events" at the RE tomorrow and I guess I will ask her or voice my concern. Have you ever heard of the Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago? They have an extremely informative website and seem to be on top of it all with the latest on fertility. http://www.advancedfertility.com/ They have photos too that blew my mind!!!!
I just did a search on it and it says definitely do not take if possibly pg. It can cause birth defects as well as abnormal reproductive organs in the unborn baby. You are definitely between the rock and hard spot
During my first IVF in january my first beta was very low (27.4) so my RE made me take the Estrace to ensure the pregnancy (unfortunately it ended to be an ectopic
Yes, I was finally able to post a question on the fertility ask a MD page! I posted there. I am curious what he will say as far as the estrace goes. I know it is too early to do a PT
but perhaps my RE will do a US. She can see a zygote forming I think if I have one (I think). Did you look at the website I posted up above? It has some interesting photos if you browse around. Have a nice day!
