Estrace

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what estrace is and how it is used in an IVF protocol.  I had a m/c on Feb. 26 after my first IVF.  I have to start all over again because I only have one  frozen embryo left.  My Dr. says I can start estrace on day 20 of my cycle.  How is it different than b/c?  Side note-my dr. says he'll start me on estrace but if my ins. doesn't pay all the bills for my IVF (yeah..I'm a lucky one) than we have to wait until on the bills are paid.  I'm wondering what side effects estrace has...thank you for your help!

I took it with my frozen egg transfer cycles. It increases the lining of the uterus and makes it nice for the eggs to transplant. May not happen to you but beware --I became the biggest b___h when taking it , the first time I blew up at my best friend and the second time my mother.

It's estrogen..  Your numbers have to at a certain level before the transfer.  Same side effects as the b/c.  Bloating, etc..  Maybe not as bad..
