what exactly does it do during pre-ovulation time? they always measure it at the dr's office right before they trigger me.. this time they said it was a little low, but thats to be expected with the femara (since it blocks estrogen
Gosh, mine was only 275 and i had 5 follies, i wander what that indicates? they said with femara it can be low, i wander if that makes my follies not rupture
My e2 today (cd12) is 176, after taking clomid this cycle. My follies (about 4 of them) measured 12,11,11, & 9. My doc wants to check me again tomorrow via more bloodwork to see if I am getting close to 200 which could indicate a mature egg.
Then he'll probably trigger me sometime over the weekend and possibly IUI...
If my follie doesn't get big enough (docs like to see at least an 18 mm follie, i think) but if my e2 goes up, it may be that my egg is mature even though it's small? I just don't know if there's any point to doing IUI if my follicles
I always thought that the estradiol was to make sure your lining was thick enough for implantation. Because I now the drugs like clomid can thin your lining making it impossible for the egg to implant. I could be wrong though.
My estriodol level went up slightly to a whopping 184 on Friday cd13. The doc wants me to come in on MOnday for another check to see if I am ready for (trigger shot+ ) IUI early in the week. I had four follies on cd 12 measuring 12,11,11,9, etc. and the dr sent me home to grow a few more days. I hear stories of people having really high estriodol levels and mine is just under 200 with 4 follies. I am concerned this e2 level isn't strong enough for IUI and and I don't want the dr. to go ahead with the IUI knowing there's not a snowball chance in hell. Should I ask the dr about skipping IUI this month? I'll get my ultrasound Monday am and I guess I will see what it shows. Praying my follies and e2 grew ENORMOUS over the weekend!! lol
