Estrogen

Hi, this is my first post. I'm 39 and have been trying to conceive for 18 months. FSH (5.4) and E2 (74) normal back in April. Have very regular periods my entire adult life. Tried Clomid for 2 months and moved on to Gonal F. Last month had a low positive result which turned into a negative a couple of days later. This month had baseline ultrasound on day 3, everything was fine. Started Gonal F that night. Went in for ultrasound and blood work yesterday. No measurable follicles, blood work came back with low estrogen (32) and LH (18.6). Had to quit meds and need to do FSH test on day 3 next month. I'm concerned that this is really bad news and that my chances of conceiving have taken a nose dive. Can my estrogen have gotten so bad so fast? Is it a sign of menopause?  Has this happened to anyone else? What does it mean?

I'm not an expert by any means, but high estrogen (over 80) is usually a sign of diminished ovarain reserve from what I have read. It doesn't sound like menopause to me. Mine was 47 and FSH was 7 last test and dr said was great. I do know a lot of the meds can mess with your #'s, too. Maybe dr is retesting to reconsider meds? I hope it's all ok for you.
