Expert advice on early HPT after trigger shot

OK--I'm driving myself nuts in my 2ww!  So, today is 11dpiui and I broke down and tested with a $stre test this afternoon.

Here's the backstory--I had my initial trigger shot 12 days ago, then had a 1cc (2500IU) 6 days ago.  I'm assuming the initial trigger was 7500IU (plus the booster of 2500IU would be the entire 10,000IU dose).

So, I got a $store test and tested this afternoon, and there is a faint, but noticable second line!

Obviously I have nothing else to compare it to, so I dont know if it's possible that it's still some leftover hcg from the 2500IU booster 6 days ago or if it's a possible + test!

What do you ladies think?  My RE wont do a blood test until Monday, so 6 more days (it'll be 17dpiui if I make it till then with no AF).

I've been having some "symptoms":  sore boobs, veiny boobs, lower backache, cramping/twingy/achy/bloated feeling in abdomen, tired, gassy, sort of nauseous in the evening.

I think the trigger is likely gone. But, I have had too many colored evaps on $tree to trust them. I'd get a frer and do a fmu. A lot of ladies like the $trees. I use them "for amusement purposes only", lol. Mostly, because I can always see "something" on them rather than the stark white of a neg frer. It is sounding so hopefull!!!!!!

I'm going to wait until at least Friday before I pull out the "big guns" (i.e. the FRER or CVS brand tests).

I sometimes dont trust the $tree ones either, but this second line came up within the 3 minute time frame, so I dont know.  

I bought 4 tests, so I'll test again tomorrow AM with FMU and then the next day and the next.  i guess if it's real the line will get darker, or at least NOT get lighter, right?

I can always see something on the dollar tree tests too.  I don't trust them at all!

Yes..if the lines start getting darker.. u are in for a BFP..
I got a trigger of 10000 IU and got a very very faint line on 9 DPO..11 DPT. I wasn't sure if it was a +ve ..so tested the next day again with FMU to get a darker line. I was using EPT HPTs...

Getting darker is always a good sign. But, tests can vary on sensitivity, too. Then I sit and wonder, was it a more sensitive test or is it more hcg??? I, too am a compulsive tester and obsesser! It does sound really encouraging though!!

I would definatly say things are looking up.  I had a 10000 unit trigger this month and it was out by 8 DPO, then, 2 days later I got the faintest little line. I was afraid it was the trigger, but nope, I am pregnant.  If I were you I would buy several of the same brand/kind of test and compare to see if those get darker, yes the sensitivity varies a little but you'll be able to get a good idea.  Good luck!

Hi Ladies.. I posted this on another thread, but heres what happened to me this month with my dumb old trigger:

I tested out the whole trigger.. day 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11 Past IUI.
Day 3 Dark +
Day 5 Fairly Dark +
Day 7 Neg.
Day 9 Neg.
Day 10 Light + (I thought i was preggers all day yesterday)
Day 11 Negative (Today)


Sooooo.. looks like I must of had some of the trigger still in my system..   As of today I am not preggers and its Neg.  

I had 10,0000 units.

So, here's what's been going on the past couple of days...

I tested Wednesday morning with a $tree test and there was a faint positive.  Thursday morning ($tree) was also a positive..VERY slightly darker than Wed.  This morning (Friday) I used my last $tree test and it was still positive and still a bit darker than the other 2.

Today, Friday, I'm 14dpiui, 15 days past initial trigger, and 9 days past my booster shot.  My boobs are still sore, swollen and veiny, I'm very bloated, having lower back pain, etc.  

Do you think at this point--9 days past the 1cc booster shot--it might actually be true!?  My beta isnt until Monday and I have FRERs to use Saturday and Sunday...

It is really sounding like it now!!! Wow! I really hope it is. I tell you, you have a will of iron if you haven't busted out a frer and you have one in the house, lol. I would have done it 4hrs after the 1st $tree :)  That trigger should be way long gone. I'm leaning bfp now :) Geeze, now I have to tune in tomorrow. I can't wait!!!

Turns out mine was an actual positive.  I tested 12 DP IUI and had a very faint pos. then I started cramping really bad later in the day and started spotting.. had such bad cramps had to take a pain pill.  After going to my new RE's for day 3 B/W, turns out my HCG was at a 5 and I was "expelling my chemical".  Sooo.. I have just figured out that those HPTs are made to drive you bat sh*t after a trigger.  I hope yours is a nice sticky BFP!!!

I finally broke out the big guns this morning--a FRER.  

So, at life 5 am this morning I POAS and a second line came up immediately and is just as dark as the control line!

I know the darkness of the test line really doesnt mean anything, but I think it's good that it's so dark and came up so fast!

One more FRER for tomorrow then my beta Monday morning!  I'm getting kind of excited here...

sounds like you have your self a great mothers day presant.   I took my hpt 11 days post trigger to get my real BFP and it was confermed at 13dpiui.

Hey everyone I took an orvidrel shot on April on April 26th and IUI n april 27th and stll getting VERY light positives I know this is the shot but when should I see BFP????

our cycles are very close! I took ovidrel on 4/24 and had an iui on 4/26. I am spotting today and not sure what to make of it!!!!


Anyone have any ideas?

Hello ladies I have been reading these formums for days now trying to be positive about this whole situation. it is my husbands and I first attemt on fertility shots and trigger. I took the trigger on the 19 July so I am 10 past trigger if I don't count Monday. I have taken a a test yesturday and it was negitive no sign of a + at all. But I am confused because honestly I just feel pregnant. I have been so extremly tired and the pasted five nights I have been waking up in middle of the night to pee about four times. That is not usuall for me, also I statred to get a white creamy discharge yesturday. I am just so confused my husband did not want me to take a home test he wants me to wait until my blood test on Tuesday but that is killing me. So I did the test at work and now don't know how to feel about it.

can anyone give me advice????
