FET 2ww - having ovarian pain

Hi all,

I am knew to this site so I apologise if I don't abreviate - I am still getting to grips with them.  I had my 1st cycle of IVF in Apr 09, I was over stimulated so they were unable to do the transfer then.  They managed to remove 18 embryo's and 12 fertilised.

I had to wait the summer until my period got back to normal.  I had my first FET of 2 embryo's last Friday.  Since day 3 I have had mild abdo cramp but today (day 6) I have been having moderated pain around my right ovary.  It's so unconfortable I am using a hot water.  Is this normal??  I have had no bleeding or spotting.  

Any adcive would be grateful

Hi Mel, and welcome to the forum! I'm not sure about the ovary pain, but the abdominal cramps sound normal. Was it a natural cycle FET? Maybe you've developed a cyst or something. If so, I don't think that's a big deal but I would probably just call and check with your doctor...just in case.

Also, I know one-sided pain can sometimes indicate a possible ectopic pregnancy, but I wouldn't think the embryo is big enough to cause any pain this early, so I doubt that's what it is.

Hi, Mel, I just came out of the 2WW of an FET cycle.  I had severe pain in my lower abdominal area on 8dpt.  But I still got BFP.  Now I am waiting for the first u/s to see what is really going on.
