and frustrated. I found out I was pregnant and a week later my doctor gave me the grim news. The reason I keep having a m/c is because of my FSH level. I'm 37 and my FSH is 14. I have no problem getting pregnant...it's keeping it. My first pregnancy lasted 20 weeks, we found out he had abnormalities after my IPS test at 17 weeks, we were told our baby wouldn't make it much longer as he was not growing properly....he didn't. I had my baby at 20 weeks, that was March 1st, 2009. We had our next 3 m/c's between 6-8 weeks along. Aug 21st, 2009, January 3rd, 2010 and May 10th, 2010. So, my doc tells me the only option for me is IVF with a donor egg. The good thing here is I have a yonger sister who is willing to help.
My questions is...has anyone else been thru this and have they had any success with wheatgrass lowering their FSH levels... and had a sccessful pregnancy and healthy baby on their own? I have been reading about it on line and it sounds like it does lower the FSH levels...but no one has mentioned if they have been successful in having a healthy baby.
FSH can be lowered in some people. Get the book Inconceivable--she lowered her FSH from 42 to the mid-20s and got pregnant during a month when her FSH was 30 (and had a normal baby girl).
As an aside, I didn't know a high FSH could cause miscarriages--is it b/c of egg quality or something?
Thanks ladies...I'll research DHEA and see if that might be another option. From what I have been told, my miscarriages are do to poor egg quality ...due to my FSH being so high. I've read a lot on FSH levels and mine doesn't seem that high compared to many of the women....I guess it's just hit and miss for a good egg.
