My wife had gone under 3 IVF. She is 30 years old. No obvious reason why she can not get pregnant.
Howver, before her 3rd trial of IVF we found that she tested positive for Factor V Leiden and heterozyogt.
In first IVF trial, She was told that she became Cliniclly Pregnant but lost the fetus and could not complete. Second trial, she also was "clinically or chemically pregnant" but again failed. 3rd trial, she had once blastocytes transfer and two other embryos
? Do you think it is even worth continuing to do IVF? My wife has 2 sisters who became preganant and had 3 children each. But each one of those sisters had one miscarriage
. According to all the studies out there, factor V should not be an issue until 2nd and 3rd trimester, when a bloodthinner needs to be used (usually Lovenox). When I got pregnant the second time, I was supposed to start Lovenox once they detected a heartbeat
, but I miscarried that very same day, so I never started the injections. Next time around, I'm not taking any chances. I'm going to ask my doctor if I can start the Lovenox injections as soon as I get a positive pregnancy test. I'm not sure if it will help or not, but I'd rather start earlier than later...
Are your wife's sisters also Factor V positive? I also have a sister who has had one successful pregnancy (no miscarriages
