I just had a chemical pregnancy with IVF myself. The numbers really do have to rise, they don't have to double but they need to go up more than 1 point in 48 hours. I'm so sorry, it isn't easy. The good news, if you can call it that, is that you did get pregnant. It means you're able to. Do you have other embryos
ones there. I too had a failed 1st IVF, but I immediately stared my second one and did acupunture with it. Keep in mind that your RE will be able to tweek the medications that they used in your first cycle to a more successful 2nd cycle. Fresh embryos
are better. Congrats you did get pregnant, but talk with your RE and see if he can find some solution. Maybe prescribing a medication or just maybe keeping you on progestrine inserts. Nonetheless, stay strong and keep going. Really think about acupunture. Also we have a May/June forum - join. SSBD to you. PRAY - God listens!
but at the end its up to nature to implant those embryos. the doctor has nothing to do with it....you need to realx and be positive , this happened to a lot of us.
In answer to your questions above, a chemical pregnancy is one that appears just long enough to give you a positive on a test, but then (in the very early days of the pregnancy) fades. You were pregnant, but it stopped rather soon. I've also heard people call it a "biochemical pregnancy."
I would not be frightened of using frozen embryos. I just saw some numbers that said frozen ones have better odds, strange that this seems. Good luck with the next round!
