No success story here--Just wanted you to know I understand the frustration of WHY.  My numbers for IUI and prior to that have always been great...not sure why we are not "maing contact!"  Hang in there!

So sorry about the BFN.  I hope FET works for you.

I'm so sorry Deanna,  I know how disappointing it is.  I don't really know your age and history, but they say sometimes it takes two or three tries before it works.  I am glad you have three frozen.  They must be good quality to make it to freeze.  I don't think the FET is as bad as the fresh b/c no stims are needed.  Good luck to you.

I can relate and understand your disappointment and frustration. I have had one failed IVF and currently waiting on BETA test on the 24th. I took a HPT and it was negative. I am 36 and wondering if I did something wrong or if I should have transferred more. I am not having any symptoms and fell disappointed all over again. My dr promised the third cycle free if this was not successful.

I pray that your next cycle is a success! Keep the faith and be encouraged.

we have had both...successful fresh IVF, and unsuccessful FET (was successful, but went in today for 7 wk u/s and didn't see a h/b...have been prepared, though due to hcg levels being so wacko...just has been a long process to find out the inevitable)  FET are more and more successful all the time, due to "defrosting" procedures becoming better and better. I will say, the FET transfer is SOOO much easier!!! And they can grow the embies to blast after they defrost, which are good, good! It is crazy...when the embies, all levels, etc...look good and then it doesn't work. My heart feels for you...but keep positive and know you can do this again!!! :O) I will tell you...I have quite a few friends who failed fresh IVF and successful FET (we have a group that met at our clinic and are able to share and support each other!)

I've been waiting for your post-I'm so sorry. I agree with what llenda says-it sometimes takesa fewtries, and the FET is much easier on your body.  I hope that works for you. Take care.

I am soo sooo sooo sorry, I know words cannot take away the pain right now, do you remember how thick your lining was when you transferred? and you said you did 2 5 day blasts correct??

I don't have a success story yet, but wanted to share my experience.  I have been through 2 fresh and 1 FET all BFN in the last 7 months due to male factor.  Like you, everything in ours went well and we had top grade embryos, good lining, etc.  My Dr kept telling me he had no idea why they were failing (which frankly I got sick of hearing).  It is so heart wrenching to go through.  I am so sorry you have to experience this.  I will say the prep for the FET is much less stressful.  For me it was still the same number of shots-the estrogen replacing the FSH, but not having the bloating, surgery, etc was easier on the body.  The devastation and pain lesses with each passing today, although for me there are days when it still feels fresh and I sit and cry.  The best medicine for me is trying again.  I have tried to give up twice (even got ready to file for divorce-long story) and just couldn't.  I recently switched Drs and found such a great Dr.  Cycling again in Feb.  Good luck to you.

I agree w/ sdscientist...the best medicine is trying again..i wanted to know that I did all I could before we gave up (which we haven't done, yet!!). This isn't something you can go back on in a few years and do over w/ that darn aging process! There are those days when you think you are crazy, crazy for doing all of this...like beating your head up against a wall, self-destruction...but in the end when all is said and done...it will go right and will be worth all that you had to go through and you can look back on your journey and take a big breath and say...WE DID IT! Also for me...changing my attitude towards those who were pregnant and had babies helped a lot. I was so resentful and bitter, and deciding that I would be happy for those people helped me to get through all the **** that we went through w/ our IUI's, and IVF's...it was a long road...but we are stonger now...(although I know there has been times my dh has wanted to trade me in for a newer, better model! and I him!)
Ok...just wanted to drop that along to all...Happy Holidays!
