Femara v. Clomid

I took Clomid and now am taking Femara after my 4th lap.  My question is I know with Clomid I had pain during ovulation due to endo on/in ovary and stimulating it.  My doctor told me the side effects were less with Femara and I guess I thought maybe the pain would be also.  On Saturday night (day 12) I started getting horrible pain in my ovary/back.  It was excruciating.  I could barely walk and not walk up stairs at all.  It lasted for about 24 hours and got better but is coming back again.  I was wondering if anyone had anything similar with Femara.  This is my first time taking this.  Thanks!

Well i didn't do much unfortunately.. i have LUFS so i have to avoid all NSAIDS (motrin, naprosyn etc). i just kind of waddled around for a week ( i had mild OHSS as well when it was the worst) we do IUI's so we had intercourse the night of the IUI and the next day.. not very comfortable though.. then took it easy the rest of the tww..so i guess i just grinned and beared it really.. thinking its all worth it in the end! : )   good luck! keep me updated!

What did you do about the pain/how did you treat it?  I am just wondering because sex seems impossible with this much pain(sorry if tmi!).  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!  I am excited and very hopeful the Femara will work

Hello.. i have not taken clomid.. however i have taken femara and injectables multiple times (and its worked 3 times!) i have severe endo as well.. and i always get the pain around O time with femara and especially with femara +injectables.. not sure if its just ovulation itself or the growing ovaries or a direct result of the endo getting inflammed.. but the cycles that i have gotten pregnant i have the worst pains it seems! where i could barely walk.. and urinating etc were really painful..I can usually feel my ovary (have one left) getting bigger and twinging before O time and then all over pelvic pains after O... GOOD LUCK! i hope that it does the trick! femara is a great choice for endo patients! : )
