I was diagnosed with secondary hypogonadism two years ago. I am in my forty's and have been injecting Testosterone Cypionate at 200mg weekly since being diagnosed. My pre-therapy testosterone level was 144 ng/dl, with therapy I average 600 ng/dl. Would a man in my situation remain fertile with the TRT regime described?
Testosterone decreases the sperm count. My husband started taking Testosterone injections around 3 years ago, and his count has went from 28million down to 7. That was a test from a year ago. I did make him go off of it from April to Aug of this year( just last weekend) to see if his counts would come up some. We are doing IVF w/ ISCI (where they inject the sperm into the egg). Granted, you only need as many sperm as you do eggs in that situation (up to maybe 20?) so the count isn't that important.
You may want to have a siemen analysis to see where your counts are.
