Fertility meds

Hello Ladies... I have a few questions to ask about some of the meds I was/ am on to get pregnant... First off I believe what I have is considered secondary infertility because I have a son who is 2... I have been trying to get pregnant for the last 3 months and nothing. The first month I was on Clomid mg that same month I was boosted to mg and then to mg with out inducing an ovulation. For my second month my doctor put me on Metformin and Clomid days 5-9 of my cycle and finally ovulation occurred.... No pregnancy resulted from that but at least a little hope. This month I was on Clomid   50mg and continued on the Metformin. I went in for an ultrasound on CD 13 to see if I ovulated and I did but was also given a shot of Profasi to induce ovulation within 24 hours....

Here I am 9dpo and having symptoms... I took a pregnancy test on Tuesday and it was positive... I called my doctor and he said that the profasi could very well still be in my system and that is what is causing a positive that early, and to retest on Thursday (today) and if it is still positive to call and set up an appointment... I took a few different brands of tests this morning (FRER, Clearblue +/- and a New Choice/ dollar tree test) The FRER was very faint but there, lighter than Tuedays test, the Clearblue was faint but very much so there + and the New Choice was faint as well... What should I rely on? I am so confused!

Has anyone taken these meds and had an early result like this?

I'm sorry, I don't really have any idea.

I was just curious though. Have you only been trying for 3 months? I thought doctors didn't start meds until people had tried naturally for awhile. Just curious why you were started on clomid so early.

I have been trying for 3 months too. I thought I needed to wait a few months before seeing a doctor or they would just tell me to be patient.

if your trigger injection was hcg then it can take up to 14 days to clear your system.
your doctor can do a blood test and repeat it in 48 hours to see if it is doubling (a sign of pregnancy) or decreasing (from the trigger shot)
good luck!

I think to make sure you should test again tomorow. But it sounds like a positive to me. Good luck!

If you are ovulating your dr will most likely have you try on your own for awhile. But if your having problems ovulating than they have to start you on something to get things going. Good luck I hope this helps
