Finally called about IVF

Hey ladies i finally called my insurance provider to see how much it covers. Well some ok news i guess. It covers most of the Drugs all i have to pay is 25% of their prefered price. and the big names are covered like lupron and menopur and follistem and all of those. Also there is a possibility of coverage on all ultrasounds. and then on the blood tests the only thing that i know is not covered is the procedure itself  so with all that i will have to come up with out of pocket is around 6000 so that doesnt sound so bad. and if the drugs are covered that that helps alot. let me know what yall think

Ok so i think i miss calculated. Its gonna be 7000 for the procedure itself if nothing in that is covered by insurance.  but that is still kinda exciting. Im hopeing to be able to do it the year of 2010. wow thats  a long way away:( maybe sooner. Depending on how much we can save and put away a month. Ill let you all know

WOW  that sounds very good actually!  My insurance will not cover anything but diagnosis.   Gosh, Heather that sounds like pretty good news.   You deserve that!!

For us the meds were the biggest part of the ivf bill (my insurance does not cover anything!) so you are in OK shape.  You will have to pay your RE and the hospital and that wasn't too bad.
Good luck!

Yeah, the meds being covered is a BIG plus! Best of luck!
