First Post, First IVF & First BFP
Hi everyone,
Im 39 yrs, I have two kids from my previous. I have been trying for 2 year with my dh. We did our first IVF and got BFP on day 14 of embryo transfer. We had 3 embryos transferred on Dec 2nd. The first HcG was 16. Today is day 17 and I have 2nd blood work tomorrow. I'll keep you posted on the results.
My question is that how is it possible to get 16 HcG on day 14 and just two days later get neg. on 3 different HPT's. I'll find out for sure tomorrow but has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal to show pos. on blood test and then neg. on HPT?

Hi how are you i been having a ivf ytansferred since i was 38 i think this one is my 7th one and the 1st one i got pegnant and lost it now i am in my 7th and still havent given hope we have tryed different stuff and nothing and on the 5th of december i got my blytositis tranferred they looked great and they inserted 3 the doctore said to do a progesterone blood work to fin the count to increase my medicine i did the level was alittle low i increased it to go over 200 well done i did 3 urine test at home and they were all negative, today on the 21st i did the blood count level for the pregnancy results and still pending till tomorrow and still nothing i have lost hope already !! is someone out their that i could elate my problem to help me ... understand better why this is happening to me...
I am so very sorry... I guess this was a chemical pregnancy. I hope your second ivf bring a sticky bfp.

So sorry about your test result. Hang in there... I got a negative too last month with IUI and am trying a second cycle right away. The test time is the most difficult, its nerve wrecking to be guessing and guessing whether is a BFP or a BFN.

Ok. Just got my 2nd Beta results back and its NEGATIVE. The Hcg level is below 5 :( It didnot work for us. Well I just wanted to keep you posted. I will definitely have another go at IVF but just wish we know the cause of infertility in us.
The doctor asked me to stop taking the Progesterone suppositories (Cyclogest 400mg) that i was taking twice a day. Have an apointment on Wednesday.
That was the end of my ivf cycle #1 :(

If you put low HSG in google...you will get some info & some comments connected to medhelp. I hope it helps.
I am going thru the process of my first IVF also which was just done & i also was just confirmed postive. I am not that familiar with the numbers.
I would say since it's a low number the HCG is just beginning to build up on & maybe your embryo was implanted late. When is your 2nd Beta?
Please try & stay calm. We just never know what happens with these #'s

My #s were 84, & 154 & compared to all the other #'s on here I am seeing...I was the low one because everyone else is 200 thru 400.
The bottom line is we got the positive....so lets wait & see. The blood can tell more then we know.

Do you know of anyone who has faced the same thing and then showed hcg levels doubled in the second blood work??
Thanks Helen72. My doctor told me that on day 14 of embryo transfer HcG level of 16 on first beta is considers a positive for pregnancy. Below 5 is not pregnant. I followed his instructions and did not do any HPT during my 2ww and thought since now I got BFP I will get a deffinite positive on my first HPT. I searced the web and did not find anyone else with the same situation where HPT comes out negative 2 days after the BFP.
I'm very sad and dont know what to think of these negatives. I checked the 3rd and the last one just few minutes ago which I took couple of hours ago and I see a faded line.
Hate my situation at the moment and this day would not end. I need help!!

I am So sorry it went down. Good Luck to you & maybe it will turn around again & go up.
