First day of clomid, couple of questions

I'm sooo excited! This is my first day of trying clomid 50mg. I'm taking cycle dates 3-7. How long after i finish the pills should it take to ovulate? Dr is having me track my temps, how soon before O do they rise?

Every woman is different on clomid. It is best at around cd12 to start doing OPKs. Which is ovulation predictor. It lets you know when ovulation is about to occur. For me I took clomid days 3-7 and did not ovulate until cd 16 or 17.
Your temps will not rise until after ovulation occurs.

i  finished my  first round of clomid 50 mg 3-7..i think so i ovulated on cd19 but i am not sure...on cd19 i have lot  of ewcm..and now  i am 7days late for my periods..but i have a light brown bleeding..and  today when  i took hpt it was negative

I ovulated CD 10 or 11 after taking clomid...much sooner than I thought I did when not on it.

Hi i took clomid 50mg days 2-6 and i ovuated day 13 last cycle.This month its earlier as ive just had a 10 day scan showing a 13mm follicle and doctor said i will ovulate in the next few days.everyones different as we have different doses on different days and we all have our own cycles etc.although if you take a trigger shot then you know when ovulation will be probably more accurately.SSBD  xx

well i finished the clomid yesterday. I didn't have any side effects other than a headache that I'm not sure I can blame on the meds. Now I'm crossing my fingers that I ovulate!

I will be taking my first round of Clomid this month but I am currently on day 7 of provera to start my period.  I'm glad you asked this question, it was something i didn't really even think to ask. my doc just said when you start take clomid CD 5-9 and have sex CD 12,14,16,18,20.....Also going to be trying the OPK's.  Let me know if they work for you.  I'm worried they wont work for me.

LH surge typically happens in the afternoon. I would suggest testing twice per day...that was the only way I caught my +opk. Also, I started testing on cd10 and didn't get a + until cd16. I hope it works out for you girls! :)

june-i took 50 mg clomid first time taker..i had major hot flashes n cd 15 got a + opk..guess i o between there n cd 16...super o pains wanted to call 911..if i hadnt heard stories or had talked to a few people i would have thought something was very wrong..im 2 dpo..will keep posted..ssbd

I got an almost + opk yesterday & today (cd 10 & 11). I see why ppl use digital cuz these strips are confusing. I guess i'll keep bd'ing and hope i can tell if i O for sure by my temps or maybe i'll get a super dark opk soon.

I started my Clomit yesterday 3cd-5cd I had really bad cramping this morning is that normal? I would like to keep up with the rest of you so you all can keep informed about what to look foward too.

hi! This was my first month trying clomid. I just started having cramps & i do think it's normal. I take metformin also so it gives me weird cramps too so it's hard to tell what's what lol. Good luck, keep us posted! I just really hope i O!!

I hope so too, Sorry when did  you start the clomid? Oh and I am on Metformin as well. I have another question for you, Do you ever see your Metformin in the stool after a BM?

I start testing on CD 10 and usually don't get my rise in temp until about CD20

i didnt O until cd 18-21.  It varies with everyone!!!  Tracking your temps is a great thing.  It will tell you whether you've actually oed (when temp rises.) and can also tell you if you're pregnant (if your temps stays high)

sooo, today was cd13 & still no positive opk. My temps are still low too. I was kind of excited for the two week wait but now i'm wondering if i'll even ovulate. Ugh! Patience is NOT my thing!
