Follicle Size for IVF?

What should follicle size be for IVF? I have 12 follies. Sizes range from 17, 16, 15 and 14. The dr is having me trigger tonight for egg retrieval on sat. Is this ok? i thought follies should be in the 20mm range? Am I worried for nothing? I know i have to get better at just trusting my dr but being such a control freak at times, it's hard.

My dr. told me that they trigger when about 3 follicles reach the size of 18 mm and rest are close behind. I had two at 18 mm when I triggered and ended up with 30 mature eggs! Remember that they'll still grow between trigger and retrieval - about 1-2 mm per day. Best of luck :)

The trigger gives the final push to mature so you should be OK.  My follies were your size yesterday and they delayed my retrieval one day to Saturday.  I have to say though I am pretty sure they delayed it more for them than me - I heard today they have a ton of retrievals tomorrow and since I had tons of eggs my bet is that they thought I'd still have plenty of mature ones if we waited one more day.  They didn't say that but I have a strong feeling!!  Best of luck - we're going through this together!!!!!!
