Follicle size for HCG shot and IUI, please help

Hi All,

I took 50mg clomid from CD5-9 and have my CD12 u/s today. Showed 3 follicles of 17mm, 16mn,14.5 mm. The RN told me to get an HCG shot tomorrow and IUI the day after.

Do these follicle sizes seem very small for iui? I had read that atleast 20mm is expected for clomid. I am very confused, can you all share your experience?

They grow around 1-2mm a day...so by the time you get the IUI they should be right on track as they'll grow well after your HCG trigger shot!

I'm in the same boat. Tomorrow is the big day for me.  I went on Sunday and had only i follicle and it was 16mm.  I had to take the HCg shot on mOnday.  I'm not feeling very good about this but they seem to feel it will be big enough.  Good luck

My doctor says she looks for them to be 15 or greater.

hey..my RE always have me do the trigger shot (twice now) when my follciles are at least 20mm..so i guess everyone is different but i was told that they do grow 2mm a day..so good luck!
