Follicles

Hi everyone...I posted the other day about what size is a good follicle but now I have another question.  I went for another u/s today (3 days since my last u/s) and my follicle that was 6.8 mm was only 7mm, my follicle that was 6.3 mm was 6.8 mm and my follicle that was 8.4 mm was only 9mm. The rest of the follicles all stayed little.  Has anyone else had this happen?  I thought follicles grew about 2mm a day or something like that.  Could this be because of the pcos.  I am on day 13 and I took clomid days 3-7.  We are waiting for the follicles to be atleast 16mm so they can give me the ovidrel trigger shot.
(Ugh! All of these office visit copays are really adding up.  I have been getting 2-3 u/s a week for the past 3 weeks).

From what I've read (not 1st hand exp)they do grow at 2mm/day, once they hit a certain size. I think it was either 12 or 14mm.

Women with PCOS, like myself don't usually respond well to clomid. I tried it twice in one cycle and nothing. This month I tried femara and got 3 nicely sized follicles. One 23mm, another 19.5mm, and 20mm I did my HCG shot tonight around 9:30PM and am due for my 1st IUI sunday.

My friend has PCOS and she doesn't respond well to clomid either.  Dr.s will try it and some will respond but most won't.  My friend uses Metoformin I think it is and she got pregnant last month.  

When I am on clomid my follicles will be relatively small until the 3rd cycle.  My last cycle I had a few that were 28mm which is what they like to see on a orally medicated cycle.   This month I had 3 cyst so I couldn't take the clomid.

I was on clomid too and didnt' repond ended up moving onto FSH injectables to grow the follies. but usally will grow 2mm a day

same here, i have pcos and did not respond until i started femara. clomid didn't do a thing for me. try suggesting femara to your md! hope this helps :)

I had 2 IUIs on Femara and injectibles Gonal F. Had 2 follies w the first, 3 with the second.  Having IUI #3 tomorrow but only 1 follie this time at 1.9 mm. Keeping my fingers crossed!  Were having IUI the same day Cecelia! When will your Beta be?
