Follie size on cd 3 starting Injectables

I went in for my baseline scan on cd 3 & had 10 follies, the biggest was 10.5.  I asked if this was too big to start my cycle with & was told by the RE on duty that it was fine.  Now after 3 days of stimming I went back for U/S & was told that my follie is 14.5 & the rest are all under 5 mm.  The big guy took all the meds.  My regular RE says he wouldn't have started me with one that size.  So now I'll be doing my trigger on cd 7 & IUI on cd 9.  
Anyone had this happen?
