all of which seem to be maturing well. Our doc says that this is not a high dosage of follistim. What do you think? We are moving forward this weekend with our first IVF cycle. I think the doc plans to implant 4 or 5 embryos
back in "older" women. This is just because, with age, our eggs become "less healthy". But, I think it sounds like things are progressing wonderfully! 18 is a great number!!!
Good Luck!!!!
This is our first IVF as well and I used Follistom too and produced 20 eggs. Five of which were fertilized and then only 2 came out 8 cell/Grade A which they transferred, the other 3 did not do so well, not even good enough to freeze. I think 18 is a great number too. I think she'll do well. I find out Sunday whether or not it worked out for us. Good luck to you! (and to me too!) =)
Im new to the group...hi! I'm currently on follistim 225. I'm 38....if i produce 18 or more eggs can i decide mid way to switch to IVF instead of iui? My RE will never inseminate me with too many mature follicles
! Ugh! So frustrating! This is my fifth round of iui. Two with clomid, this is my second with follistim, and once with no drugs!! So frustrating and upsetting at the same time!
