Follistim question-when to stop shots

I had my insemination today after 9 days on follisitim. Forgot to ask the nurse whether or not to take the shot tonight-I had my novarel shot today too. On my fus it looked like I had already, or was ready to, ovulate, so she did the iui today instead of Wednesday. I don't take the shot tonight now do I? I feel so dumb. This is our first month on injectables. She said to do the BD Wednesday morning and start progesterone that night. SO, am I done with the shots now?

I took follistim on cd 3-8, then ovidrel on cd9, iui on cd10 and iui on cd11.  I don't think you are supposed to take the injections anymore.  Call your dr.'s office, there should be someone on call to answer your question though.

Follistim is used to grow follicles in multiples. Once your follicles are at a certain size, the injections stop. Depending on your dosage, you can hyperstimulate if not careful. Did your DR. test your estradiol level?

Sasparilla is correct .... with your IUI being today, your last shot should have been yesterday if not sooner.

Good luck!

If you had your IUI today, then I would think they woul want you to stop the follistim.

Usually I have my follistim injection on CD3, Cd5, CD7, and CD9.  After that I stopped and will have novarel injection.
