Frozen or ffresh embryos?

Hi ladies!
So I'm about to start an IVF cycle and we need to decide if we want to freeze the rest of my embryos in case we need them in the future. I just don't know if they are as good as fresh embryos? Can anyone help please? thank you! ;)

The first clinic I went to charged $400 a year, and the clinic I'm at now charges $300 a year.  I am just now sure why your clinic is so much.

Hi there, I posted a similar question and got some very good answers. On my post, I wanted to know whether one or two FET(s) should be transferred back and whether I should go for a fresh or frozen cycle. I am now convinced that we should go for a frozen cycle as we have embies remaining. I have heard it's easier on your body and as many of the ladies have said above, people do get pregnant with FET. Let's just hope that we are just as lucky hey!! Good luck x

I agree with everyone else to freeze, although I don't know why your clinic is so expensive to store them!  I've never heard of a place being that expensive!  I see why your having 2nd thoughts... but I have seen frozen embroys work over and over again : )   *i actually got preggers from my first fet, but unfortunately m/c'd.

Good luck!

Just to give you some hope if you do freeze them.. I have only had 2 FET and both of them I got pregnant .. The first one was 2 years ago and ended with my 16 month DS and now I am pregnant again with our second child.  So It is a successful way to get pregnant.

Sounds like you're set...I just wanted to say the same thing as everyone else:  definitely freeze!!  FET is the only reason many of us are pregnant right now:)  I do think some people do better with frozen than fresh because it's easier on your body..less stress.  Less stress for me means higher chances.  Good luck!

Definitely freeze if you have any remaining. I've actually heard that women who are unsuccessful on a fresh find better success with a FET. Your RE should be able to provide more info on that but when we went into IVF, we were praying to have something left to freeze just in case we needed more and like happynifer said, FET is much easier on your body and far less costly.

Thank you!
I just want to make sure they have the same rate of success as the fresh embryos because to freeze them is kind of expensive too...$ 500 to start and $1000 yearly, so I need to make up my mind soon! I just want to know its worth it!

if you have any leftover, then definitely freeze.  a frozen cycle is so much easier (and less expensive) than a fresh one.  if you don;t need them, you can always donate them to another couple.
