My wife and I have tried for 4 years to get pregnant with little luck. The first year we tried with no fertility treatment and were unsuccessful. The second year we got pregnant after 3 times of clomid, only to miscarry 10 weeks later. Since then, we've tried 2 more rounds of clomid, and 6 rounds of gonal-f injections, with no luck. We've taken the last 5 months off and are more strongly considering adoption. However, tonight we discussed the possibility of returning to the more simple treatment (compared to injections) of clomid since that's what worked for us initially. (FYI, we met with 2 different fertility doctors and had a semen analysis (results were fine) and there are no other structural inhibitors
Clomid worked for me and I am actually going back on it tomorrow to try for baby #2.
If it worked for you in the past and you are comfortable with it I say go for it. You only need to try it for a few months and if no pregnancy then you can consider going back to injectables.
