Gonal F injections and HCG

I went and saw my RE today for the 1st time. I have been on 3 rounds of clomid with no success. He wants me to try this combination as he thinks its because my eggs aren't maturing enough by time of ovulation. I was wondering what the success rates and if anyone could share there stories if they have ever tried this combination of hormones. Thanks.

I dont have a success story, yet... but the last 2 cycles I have done clomid and follistim with good results. Ithink that my age is the contributing factor to why this isnt working. I  will warn you, on the day you overlap the 2 you are going to have major hot flashes! Good Luck to you!

Do you think you got the cysts from clomid?   I heard that clomid can really produce them.

it depends if you are doing them with IUI, IVF or timed intercourse....
i took gonal F with no trigger for IUI and it did not result in a pregnancy (although i did have 3 good follicles produced)
i did gonal F with menopur after lupron suppresion and with hcg trigger and IVF this cycle and am 8 1/2 weeks pregnant.

I also did not have any luck with gonal and trigger i had about 7 good follies, sorry! but i have heard many sucess stories with it ! i did and iui

I just wanna have hope as my insurance will not cover all the bloodwork and ultrasounds and total its gonna be around 1300 for everything. He seems pretty confident as I had a miscarriage last year and I am ovulating while on clomid just the quality of my egg isn't strong enough to sustain pregnancy.

After 3 rounds of Clomid with no success, I did Gonal-F with trigger and timed intercourse and got pregnant on the second cycle - unfortunately ended in MC. Have just started the second cycle following MC (this time taking estrogen and progesterone) and very much hoping this is the one. I had 1 clomid cycle. It didnt work for me. I have started on Gonal-f. Today is my CD 6. I had been RE office. He said there are many small follicles. On CD 6 there were 8 on my right and 10 on left. Not sure about CD6 just was told there are many small follicle and they are not going to increase the dosage since they do not want many mature follicles. Not sure whatz happening. Will be going day after tomorrow for blood work and Sono.

This will be my last cycle on clomid...hoping for my BFP and I don't have to do the injections but your story gives me hope! Hope you have luck taking estrogen and progesterine! Im feeling pretty optimistic about the end of my TWW....or just because I want it so bad...don't know which. SSBD to all!
