HCG 49 AND PROGEST TEST

UGH...THE NURSE JUST CALLED AND I AM GOING BACK FOR ANOTHER HCG..SHE SAID MY NUMBERS FOR HCG WERE ONLY 49 AND SHE THOUGHT THAT WAS LOW FOR BEING 4 WEEKS PREGO???  MY PROGESTERONE WAS AT 23.7.  SHE SAID THAT WAS "OK"....I AM SO WORRIED THAT THIS PREGNANCY IS DOOMED!!!  CAN ANYONE W/ # EXPERIENCE GIVE ME SOME HELP??

YES!!! Exactly the day AF was due, 4 weeks for me, my # was 44!!! Then it doubled to 103. My progesterone was 21.  Those numbers are perfect. Like people told me, they have to start somewhere!! Congrats!! I'm excited for you!

remember one single hcg says nothing, but rather the fact that they are doubling. wait for the second hcg to come back. good luck and God Bless!

kellym, how many days until you tested again?  the first for me was on friday and the 2nd was today on monda;y.  i am sooooo nervous.  i can barely stand it.

My Re said they like it to be around 100 at 4wks BUT if you are just a day or so off, that will make a big difference at this point. Your o could have been a day later than you thought, or your implantation may have started a little later. Implantation is usually 6-12 days after o.  HCG starts after implantation so if you implanted on 6dop, your hcg is going to be a lot higher than if you implanted at 12dpo..

For this early, I think 49 is great number.. Congrats!!!

My first test was on a Wed, the day AF was due. My second hcg was Friday and it was 103. Was this your 1st or second? I think it was your results from Fri and you are waiting for todays??

tanker chic, haha....i got it the first time...just kidding!!  I am hoping that it was just early...actually the day that i got the blood test was the day before my expected period.  Monday would be my 2nd test results and i am hoping to get those today!!  I am just so nervous...i know that even if the numbers are doubling this isn't a guarantee that i will not m/c.  this is the scariest part in my opinion.  sometimes it is hard to remember to let go and just let things be how they will be.  :)  keeping the faith :)

has anyone requested any other testing after this point?  I know that tests are not a guarantee of anything, but i like having the peace of mind that things are going ok.  also, on aboutDOTcom i read that a normal hcg 18 days past ovulation is 70 and 200 or higher could represent a sign of twins.  Do you think that is true or has anyone experienced that??  now i know that i should just be happy i am pregnant, but a chance of twins!!!!  i would pass out from the sheer joy of that thought.

That would be fun, but I read that at 18dpo the average is 292. And that the range is from 70-758. They say that hcg is not a reliable predictor, but who knows!!
