Hello
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question, turns out according to my doc that i was pregnant and i miscarried :(
I have been told tha many IVF clinics tell their patients they were pregnant when in fact it was the shot of HCG is the one that gave the high numbers in my case i had my beta done 3 days after having a shot of HCG so now the doubt remains in me, was i really pregnant or it was the shot i got? i guess i will never know. i will try again a second IVF hopefully this time will work.
thank you for your time :)
Hello,
False positive pregnancy test is rare and is usually found in is found in chemical pregnancy (a pregnancy in which there is a positive pregnancy test and no other signs or symptoms), missed reaction time( when the test sits for too long), evaporation lines(faint line during UPT) and when a woman is taking any drugs which contain hCG. So my sincere advice would be to get the serum HCG levels checked again after a few days. A rising level denotes pregnancy.
I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
