HCG Booster Shots

At my last RE visit, I pointed out to my RE that my luteal phase (LP) have been kinda short.  10 and 11 days.  So he instructed me to do, hcg booster shots.  Basically, I give my self an hcg injection 3x after ovulation once every 3 days.  So basically a 1 shot every 3 days for a total of 3 shots.

Here is my dillema.  For the 3rd month in a row, I have ovulated on the side that is missing a tube, so I cancelled my IUI for this cycle.  The nice thing about a short LP is that the tww is reduced down to only 10 or 11 days.  So I can move on to the next cycle that much sooner.

Even tho I cancelled IUI, we still did hcg trigger and BD'ed.  So my question is, who thinks I should do as the RE said and do the booster shots, or should I just blow them off, so AF will hurry up and come, and I can start a new cycle?

What do you think??

I did not do hcg booster shots but clomid did prolong my LP.

Since you O'd on the side w/o a tube I think that bfp chances are low and I would try to get to the next cycle ASAP.  It's your personal decision though.

I hope a bfp is coming your way if not this month then the next.

Oh, one more question.  For anybody who has done HCG booster shots, did it really prolong your LP and by how much??

Thanks, Hannah
