HCG level after D&C procedure

Hi everyone, I got a question.
It has been 4 weeks this Friday after my d&c procedure and my HCG level is 6.8 ....I thought by 4 weeks, it should be back to 0? Any input or insight about it? Is that normal that after 4 weeks, my HCG level is not 0 but 6.8?

first of all let me tell you how sorry I'm you had to go through a D&C.
I had a D&C in February because of a blighted ovum.
My levels were high so it took me 6 full weeks to get back to zero. 6.8 is very very low,you'll see next week is going to be at zero!

Hey sweetie! I was wondering about you!! 6.8 is still good - you should O in a few days. I O'ed when I got close to 5. Mine happened before I even got under five. So, if you were thinking about starting to try before your next AF, now would be the time. It is a decision you and your doc have to make. Though, doctors will tell you to at least wait one full cycle before trying. Thats what DH and I did.

I am sure you will O soon and then you will get AF in no time. Then you can get back to TTC. Gives us TTCers something to do besides the rest of our lives. I am praying for oyu sweetie! Big hugs? Are you still charting your temp? DOn't get frustrated by it, it is something you will get used to and it really does help. HUGS HUGS HUGS!!

Hi sweety, thank you!
Here is what's going on with me. I was wondering how long it suppose to take after DNC for HCG level to go down to 0? Im just frustrated because tomorrow will be 4 weeks since procedure and my level is not 0 yet.
Also, I have been BBT and my temp goes up and down, like from 97.7 to 97.0 within days so I don't know what that means.
Also, Im not sure if I O because like you know, with PCOS  I never O or get AF...
I hope that by next Wednesday when I go to check my levels, it will be 0 and Af will show IF it will show.. Tell me , when did your AF show ? When did your level go back to 0? How many weeks after dnc?
I think if AF will not show after my levels are back to 0 in 3-4 days, I will have to take provera to induce it.
my doc didn't say anything but I know thtat he wants at least one cycle to go through before next IUI...

Tell me, how many weeks were you when you got your dnc?
I was 7.5 weeks...I don't know my levels then because we stop taking blood at that point but I know it was pretty high..In any event, then I guess I shouldn't worry about the fact that it is not 0 yet and it has been 4 weeks since my DNC?

I had a DNC in March I bled for two weeks exactly and then got pregnant a couple of days after that ... i had a chemical pregnancy and I think that it is a good idea to wait until  you get one period and then start trying to be safe .

Thanks, yes I will wait for sure.Im just wondering when my HCG level suppose to be 0 and when to expect AF if I have PCOS?
