HCG trigger Injection for ovulation - messed up?

I did my pregnyl trigger injection at 9.15 this evening.  It bled quite a bit when I took the needle out.  I'm worried now I injected it into a vein - it's bruising pretty badly.  The clinic never gave any advice on making sure not to hit a vein or what to do if you do hit a vein.  Is there any way to make sure the trigger worked?  I'm meant to be going for egg collection on Tuesday but if the trigger didn't work properly there won't be eggs!
