HSG PAIN

so some of you say an hsg hurts due to a blocked tube, did it hurt during the hsg or a couple hours after.

Mine didn't really hurt...just some very mild cramping, but I think the people who said it did hurt was referring to the actual procedure. Anyone else?

I think the actual procedure hurt a lot.  But, I have a very "sensitive" uterus though.  When people say mild pain - for me it is excruciating.

it actually was a little painful for a very short time during the procedure when they squirt the dye into your tubes other than that short time I didn't have any other pain... My tube was blocked so it was probably a little more painful for me than others who don't have a blocked tube...

It was REALLY painful for me during the procedure. Not to scare you, but it was excruciating. But the good news is that it only last for 5 seconds maximum - once its over all the pain is gone. Both my tubes were open too. I had no pain or cramping at all afterwards.

It hurt during the dye trying to go thru the tubes for me...didnt hurt afterwards though

i had an hsg i would'nt say it hurt it was more uncomfortable during the procedure like period pain cramping and after i had no pain at all try not to worry to much about it i know thats hard but try...keep us posted take care xx

I had it done in July- it sucked.  But like others said - it was brief.  They literally blow up a balloon in your uterus to force dye to go out the fallopian tubes.  Mine was super painful during the test - but when they pulled out the equipment - the pain was gone. If/when you have one done - bring a pad with you b/c you can't use a tampon right afterwards and the hospital only has big giant pads...

I found the procedure to be very painful, but then it all was fine when it was over.  My tubes were not blocked.

The HSN proceedure was pain free for me. My tubes were not blocked either. The dye felt weird, cold and tingly, but not painful. I might have had a bit of very minor cramps afterwards, but nothing to write home about. Good luck!

i had an hsg done last friday and i was fine during it and when i came home, about 5 hours later my right side hurt really bad.it hurts to move. so i was just wondering if i should be concerned, i havent gotten my results back yet.

I am suppose to get my results from my hsg today and i am really worried, i called the dr office wednesday and the nurse told me she had my results, but she said my dr has to give me the results, the nurse has always given me my results, so now i am worried that something is wrong.
