HSG XRAY

I had the HSG 9 days from the start of my period and wanted to know if it is safe to attempt to concieve (conceive) this month or should I wait till the following month because of the radiation. I just want to know if there is a chance of birth defects from radiation if I ovulate 4/5 days after the xray.

We tried the same month that I had my HSG (CD8).  We didnt conceive that month, but I did not end up with an infection or anything like that.  If there was a risk due to radiation, they would definitely have told you (and me) not to try the month of the HSG.

I agree, if there was such risk the doc will tell you. I had my HSG done this month and we did an insemination as well. we are waiting to find out. Hope it worked.
