HSG test question

I am going to have this test to check for blocked tubes and I wondered if you are not supposed to try for a baby the month you have it. Does anyone know the rules?

I "o" late around day19 but they still will only do the test between days 8-12 so not a huge window and unfortunately I can't get in for the test this month, they are ll booked up. So next month it is. But thanks for the info now I know to go ahead and take the clomid so we can at least not lose a month of trying!

No sex before the procedure as it is an xray and they don't want to harm a developing embryo.  But after the procedure is done you can go for it.

I was told no sex until after the hsg because if I had happened to fertilize an egg before the hsg (because I had o'd early), the procedure could create an etopic pregnancy.

I think my procedure was on cd 8, so it wasn't a problem as I usually o'd on cd 12-13.

The doctor told me the same thing.  The test is usually done a few days after your period so you will ovulate later.  Doctor say you can try the same month.  Unfortnately they found some scar tissue on me even though the tube is open so my only choice is IVF.

Is your test scheduled before or after you are to ovulate.  If it is before, then you are fine.  As a matter of fact, the Dr. told me lots of women get pregnant after the test...since all blockages will be gone.
