HSG w a Tubal Ligation

We are going for in vitro because I had a tubal ligation about 4 years ago. Well since my tubes are tied is an HSG test necessary?

No, since your tubes are tied an HSG is not necessary.  We did IVF first when my tubes were tied and they skipped the HSG.  We were not successful with the IVF so we opted to have the tubal reversal.  I did get pregnant six months later but it ended in M/C last week.  We are going to keep trying though.  May I asked why you chose IVF over the tubal reversal?
